Club Pleasure: The Place That Helped Me Find Myself

7/9/20262 min read

There are some places that become more than somewhere you work. They become part of your story.

For me, Club Pleasure was one of those places.

When I first walked through those doors, I couldn't have known just how much the experience would change me. I came in as Piper, but I was still learning exactly who Piper was. Over time, Club Pleasure gave me a space where I could grow in confidence, understand myself better and become much more comfortable in my own skin.

In many ways, Club Pleasure helped save me during a period when I needed somewhere to belong.

More Than Just Work

Working in the adult industry as a transgender woman comes with challenges that aren't always obvious from the outside.

You learn very quickly about confidence, rejection, boundaries and how other people perceive you. There were times when I questioned myself and wondered where I fitted into everything.

Club Pleasure gave me somewhere I could simply show up as myself.

I didn't have to apologise for being transgender. I didn't have to make myself smaller or become somebody else's version of what Piper should be.

That freedom meant more to me than I probably realised at the time.

Finding My Confidence

Confidence isn't something you wake up with one morning.

Mine grew gradually.

Every shift taught me something. I learned how to walk into a room with confidence, how to talk comfortably with completely different personalities and, importantly, how to recognise my own value.

I became more comfortable with my femininity.

I became more comfortable with my body.

I became better at setting boundaries and saying no without feeling guilty about it.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped trying so hard to become Piper.

I realised I already was her.

The People Who Helped Me Grow

A workplace is ultimately made up of people, and some of the people I've met through Club Pleasure have played a genuine part in my journey.

I've learned from other women around me. I've laughed until my stomach hurt. I've had conversations that stayed with me long after a shift finished.

There have been difficult nights too. I'm not going to romanticise everything and pretend every moment has been perfect.

It hasn't.

But even those experiences taught me something.

They made me stronger, more independent and much clearer about what I will—and won't—accept from people.

Learning the Business

Club Pleasure also helped me understand the professional side of the industry.

Being successful isn't simply about looking good in photographs.

It's communication. Reliability. Presentation. Reading people. Understanding boundaries. Knowing how to make someone comfortable while still protecting your own wellbeing.

Those lessons eventually followed me outside the club.

They influenced how I built the Piper Sinclair brand, how I advertise, how I communicate with clients and how seriously I take the business I've created for myself.

From Surviving to Growing

When I say Club Pleasure “saved me,” I don't mean everything suddenly became perfect.

I mean it gave me something I needed at an important point in my life: a place to grow.

It helped me rebuild confidence when I needed it.

It showed me that being transgender didn't have to limit the woman I could become.

It gave me experiences—good, bad, hilarious and occasionally completely chaotic—that helped shape the person writing this today.

And I'm still growing.

I still have ambitions. I still make mistakes. I still have moments where I question myself.

But the Piper who exists today is far more confident, independent and comfortable in herself than the woman who first walked through those doors.
