Behind the Lingerie: Getting to Know Piper

There’s obviously a glamorous side of me that you see in my photos—the lingerie, dresses, hotel rooms, heels and carefully planned shoots. But that’s only one little part of who I am.

Away from the camera, I’m much more relaxed. I enjoy those ordinary moments that probably never make it onto a gallery: getting ready slowly in the morning, finding an outfit that makes me feel amazing, going out for a nice meal, having a proper conversation with someone, or simply disappearing into my own little world for a while.

I’m naturally feminine, affectionate and playful, but I have a mischievous streak too. I love being able to dress elegantly one day and keep things completely casual the next. My wardrobe probably gives that away—I can go from a beautiful dress to lingerie to jeans without thinking twice.

Life Behind the Photos

People sometimes assume every photograph comes effortlessly. It definitely doesn’t.

There’s choosing the location, deciding what to wear, doing my hair and makeup, finding the right lighting and then taking what feels like a million photographs to get the few I really love. Sometimes the spontaneous pictures end up being my favourites.

Each gallery on my website captures a slightly different side of my personality. Some are soft and romantic. Some are glamorous. Others are darker, bolder or more playful.

And yes, choosing new lingerie is one part of the job I’m very happy to take seriously.

The Woman Behind Piper

Something I value more as I get older is genuine connection.

I like people who can laugh, hold a conversation and simply be themselves. I appreciate good manners, kindness and someone who doesn't need to pretend they're somebody they're not.

I'm also quite independent. I enjoy creating things and constantly thinking about what I can do differently—whether that's another photoshoot, somewhere I'd like to visit, something new for my website, or an idea that suddenly appears in my head at a ridiculous hour.

This blog is where I want to share the pieces that don't really belong anywhere else on my website.

Expect little stories from my week, behind-the-scenes moments, new outfits and photoshoots, places I'm visiting, things I'm loving, occasional ramblings and probably a little mischief along the way.

The galleries might introduce you to Piper Sinclair, but hopefully this is where you get to know a little more about the person behind her.
